Well, The tansformation has been fun. lots of work, but everytime i sit in her, it was worth it.. Not to mention the Many heads that turn and stare as i drive her around..... Whata ya all think of the changes.. still more to come, but this is it for a while.... Soon to lift rear end a couple inches...I'm aware it wont improve performance, but I don't really race her much, baisically a cruiser and ocassionally i like to see how fast she'll reach 80mph. its amazing at 80, she'll still set ya back in the seat.. Anyways her she is in all her fire red metalic glorry. The day I bought her for $400.00/$50 a month till she was mine.....!
stage 2 of the resto Here she is all red and bad to the bone..! Still got the Chrome vinyl top trim on? Tell tale sign of removed top.. Still lookin bad!
final change so far... Ok, this was taken about 2 days ago... Now sporting her painted, non vinyl top. I love the contrast of the white on Red/with black interior.. Makes the scoop stand out, Red more brilliant, and chrome shinnyier... Now i gotta clean up the rims..... So, be honest, unless it's negative,, just kiddin.. Love to hear from you all... I've gotten many suggestions from people here... As you can see your advice is paying huge rewards...
I like the painted top idea.It looks good in those colors. As long as you enjoy it....who cares what others think about it.Actually there was a picture of a car on here awhile ago that had a white painted top upper and red lower but I think the interior was white.
I had project car like that about a year ago. Factory red white painted top black interior. Nice contrast in colors.
car looks awesome! the stance looks pretty good how it is right now... My 70 was way to low... but it had the original suspension from 1970...
