NE Chrome told me theirs is copper, Nickel, Chrome. As far as Mexico getting killed now is a real possibility. I would rather get killed on price thanks.:blast:

GSXER, it seems like you have done a lot of business with Bumper Boyz...what do you think of the quality of there work? How long have you had these parts since the work was done?....these guys are in my backyard, but I hear varying results from folks that I talk with. Thanks

They did a front 69 bumper for me back in the 90's for a $100 or so and its still on my car and looks good.I think there quality is just as good as the other major platers. There at every major car swap show and have been around at least 25 years. They usually stock most popular bumpers and are easy to find and haggle with. I wish they were in my backyard .I understand they have taken lots of flak for poor service or quality but your gona get that with the #1 supplier of anything. You just cant satisfy everyone when you do lots of volume like they do.There doing something right staying in business all these years. With whatever plater you deal with send them the best piece possable ..junk in junk out! I have had platers send me back fresh jobs with pits all over the piece.Beware of the guy at the swap meet car show with with the bumper that starts out rusted at one end and like new at the other... yet cant tell you how much its gona cost .

Heres a junk in/out trim I gave to a well known plater ,nothing wrong with his plating but dont expect miracles its real hard to fix pitted pot metal.
. Also a nice light bezel B Boyz did for me. I gave it to them at Daytona Fl and and was to pick it up at Englishtown NJ but it rained and I did not bother going so instead I met them at Carlisle PA Spring show a week later at the same time I need a 71 rear bumper and they have it .Im low on loot and meet them a few weeks later at Mopar Nationals. Thats what I mean about keeping stock and finding them around .Most of the other guys would take forever not be at the shows and you would have to pay crazy shipping without seeing the finished job.

I've used Graves Plating as well. Not cheap, but very nice people and beautiful work.

Yes, very nice folks. They're not too far from me (250 mile round trip). I got a tour of their shop while I was there. Ten years later, the bumpers look great. I've got some more work (interior pieces) for them. Graves has my highest recommendations.

Thanks GSXER, for the responses and I agree with you. I invited my current platter to a Carshow that I was attending & they both promised to show up and they never did. I have had this happen several times. You are correct, if a platter is willing to show up at a Carshow , then they are more than likely reputable and they are not hiding from unhappy customers. Thanks for your comments.

Please don't bring that up. It's taken months and month of therapy, and consolatory hugs from Alan, to get him over that.....:Dou:

The only things positive I can say about the Bumper Boyz is they come to a lot of shows and they have a lot of cores. They are not any cheaper than much better platers like Tri City and their warranty I think is a year. Tri City's is lifetime. The backs of the BB's bumpers are usually trash such that you must apply paint to prevent them from rusting whereas Tri City coats their bumper's on the back. And all too more the BB's bumpers have significant defects on the side that counts. Tri City would not allow something like the BB's stuff out of the door. So gentlemen if you buy from the BB's you better inspect the item very, very closely in advance of purchase. And my own experience is consistent with what one of the MOPAR magazines has observed.

Graves did an excellent job on my pot metal headlight doors and pot metal taillight housings. Turn around is about 4 to 6 weeks.
( that was ten .....mmm maybe, 6-1/2 years ago).
