Hi.. I want to keep radials on my car..I like to drive some on the highway, and feel better with more modern tires. The car originally came with G78-14's on steel wheels. The last owner put on sport wheels and big radials. Still using 14" wheels. What would be the best radial size if I wanted the 'sport wheel' look of the G70-14's? Finally, any tire brand suggestions: I am looking for raised white letter tires, good ride, quiet, etc. No racing. Thanks for any info.. Stanley
I believe that would be a 215/75R14 to replace the G78R14. That tire has a 27.1" diameter. You can go wider from there. I think your next size up would be a 225/70R14.
