What can I soak my radiator in to dissolve the calcium from my precious brass radiator. We fell in love back in the late 80's and til death do us part. Seriously, vinegar, pool acid, the counter top removal water spot solution or what?

We only drink bottle water, the chlorine and additives are bad.

Can I do a "Drain Test" to estimate flow?

Only if you know what to compare it to. Best way is to remove cap and bottom hose and get your eye in there with a flash lite, boroscope or little mirror. The cleaning way is to remove the side tanks, fill a wheele barrel up with water and muradic acid, funny that water which neutralizes acid would be used, and use a reed they call it to clean the tubes. It may actually be a plant. I used to watch Fred at Freds radiator in hayward CA yrs ago. His dunking tank had greenish liquid and didnt smell or steam like muradic acid. But he told me i could use muradic acid with water , I forget the ratio.
