Bob, don't know what to tell you other than I don't have a specific SKF rep, nor ever talked with one. We have an under car rep that reps many lines. He works for, gets paid by, and can get "let go" from NAPA. Whenever I or my employees called SKF directly about these warranty issues we never got the same person.
Again according to SKF, the written warranty by NAPA is wrong. I guess all I can say is we had these conversations with SKF and my store has been life time warranting all there bearings wether hub, roller, ball for the past 12 plus years, getting our credit with no charge backs.

Sadly, whenever we have any kind of issue with any of our parts we sell, rarely do we get our NAPA rep involved. We just deal directly with the manufacturer.

Guy, the problem with getting the manufacturer involved is it takes forever and they almost always have some BS excuse to deny coverage. Part of our Car Care agreement is the Sensio (sp?) insurance we get. It’s not great, but better than having to babysit a labor claim for 6 months.

I spoke to our Napa store manager today. He hadn’t heard of the SKF to FAG wheel bearing change. He pointed out that certain lines can be a regional thing too, which I do know to be true.

Too bad we aren’t in the same town. I’ll bet we would be a good fit!

Here is a 14 Rav 4 wheel bearing today:

And it starts. Hope they're as good or better than the SKF stuff.

    Guy,

“Midwestern Division”, aka you guys, are the guineau pigs for the FAG bearings, according to our district manager.
