    Greg Godon's friend?

    Milan:

Are you the same Milan from ROP that we met at Byron with Greg Godon? I see the Olds avatar.

It doesn't work for me, either. However, I did grow up in Downers Grove....

Kinda thought that was you. Welcome "to the other side". Nice people over here, not quite as silly as ROP has become. You need to bring your car to a BOP meet sometime. That thing is awesome.

For those of you who don't know, the engine in Milan's Cutlass was being built for the Popular Hot Rodding Challenge and cranked some very impressive HP and Torque values. He and Greg Godon, in Harvard, Ill. (or was it Princeton, Yale, or something like that:grin: ) built it, but there were some very heavy and silly politics with some of the big name Olds builders over what heads were legal, etc., so they withdrew their entry. Too bad the big names' engines didn't even run in the competition. Kinda made Olds look a little embarassing. No problem, we're used to it.

Big difference next year with Bill Trovato and Earl Emery teaming up (BTR performance) for the PHR Engine Masters.

I can't get anything on your connection either. It comes up saying the album is empty.

Will miss you at Byron/Mondello this year, conflict with Pure Stock here in Michigan.

Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

    Downers Grove...

Hey Steve, I was stationed with a guy from Downers Grove. Doubt you knew him though. It isn't exactly a small town, now is it? Name was Thom Simms. We called him 'Nipple Head'. Don't know why, just called him that once on a bar crawl through the streets of Song Tan Si, ROK, and it just kinda stuck. I'd say he's probably 44 - 47 years old now.

Would be a small world if you did know him though.

    Never!!

Milan, We are NEVER bored with 600+ HP.:Brow: :TU: Although, it looks like the torque #'s are down. :moonu:

Go ahead and post the pics. We would like to see them. Need to let us know what it runs when to finally put it on the strip.:TU:

Heres one more of the inside...the valley is Devcon titanium putty, unreal stuff, and got it from a Buick site to help stiffen the block from twisting and bowing, so far the stuff seems very good. Thanks Milan
