(You got chocolate in my peanut butter)

Maybe we could run both of our cars into each other.

We would have to swap core supports also.

It's an intriguing idea. Where are you located?

We're just outside of St. Louis. Hypothetically, we'd have to meet in the middle or ship the stuff.... I've got a real nice striaght nose without rust or dents, the bumper is straight, grilles intact, never tried the headlight motors. I think the hood is the same.

Same here, all straight, never rusted.
Hood is the same except for placement of emblems, nose trim piece.
That blue hood I have on it now is actually a '68 hood.

It's a great idea, but I just don't see it happening unfortunately. :Dou:

Well, I appreciate the conversation. In all reality, we don't have time to do much to the body on this car until after SEMA anyways. But please keep the thought in mind... maybe in the next couple months it may be a possibility. Otherwise I'll probably end up selling the front sheetmetal and seeking '70 stuff in a few months.

    Kevin,
I will definately keep it in the back of my mind.
I have a lot going on right now too with the possibility of moving, we are putting the house on the market to see what happens.
I've been busy fixing all those little things that one never bothers to fix just learned to live with.

It would be great if we could park the cars side by side and have a wrenching party to switch everything over. :Brow:

Now that's an interesting idea... I plan on doing the brakes, suspension, wheels & tires, and engine over the winter. Maybe next spring!

It looks like Cedar Rapids, IA, is the 1/2 way point.

Good luck with the house... those little details take lots of time.
