Opinions on H-Pipes or balance pipes???

I am running 2 1/2" straight pipes to a couple of Thrush mufflers right in front of the rear axle. I'd love to have an X-Pipe in the mix but the budget says no way.

I can make an H-Pipe for about $35 with some T pipes and clamps or buy the Balance Pipe kit from Jegs for just a little bit more.

Does anyone have an opinion on this idea? Benefits? It's nearly winter and I'm just looking for something to do.

Save your money for an x-pipe, it will be well worth it. I have actually done on car and dyno testing where an H pdipe actually hurt horsepower.
Also, get those pipes to exit from under the car, carbon monoxide gas is deadly stuff. Jim Burek

    Okay thanks.
I'm having a guy make my tail pipes for me. I just have to get the car up to him.

You're telling me about the carbon monoxide. Any time I get stuck in traffic I "feel" the effects.
