No mention of any documentation on the 71, will be one to research when I get down there. Sounds like there will be at least 4 or 5 rare Buicks for sale in Scottsdale that week.:TU: :TU:

That does look like JKC's car. I had taken a bunch of pictures of it when he had it a BG.

Is the ad copy correct about this car being the original show circuit car?

Yes. It is the sister/cousin/whatever to my GSX Prototype. Only a couple of body numbers difference and ordered exactly the same by Buick; same options, colors, etc. I have photos of it along with my car at different new car shows around the country. It was generally placed on the floor of the show and mine was on a turntable with a model talking about mine. Pretty special one-off that escaped Buick along with mine and both ended up at the same dealership in Columbus, Len Immke Buick. Mr. Immke had considerable pull within Buick, obviously. Both were modified for show duty by Buick's Color and Trim shop.

Anyway, attached is a pic from the 70 autoshow and you can see it in the back ground on the left. Brad's Protype GSX is in the background on the right....

Lon, The red car in the background on the left is not John's car. It has a vinyl roof.

Figured I'd see what happens with it. Don't really need to own 8 of these 70 Stage 1s anymore. Seems like I never drive any of them anymore and especially this one! I think I have put about 10 miles on it since I bought it 6 years ago. Not wanting to roll the dice at B-J with no reserve format but it makes sense to put it in Scottsdale the same week. And, I can always bring it back home. :TU:
