Any one ever heard about Original parts group ? does they deliver well ? the price are corect ? ever receive the catalog ? etc ... They call themself the "THE AUTHORITY ON GM "A" BODY"
Decent service, prices are up there, but hey its a Buick right? Usually out of stock on most things, however they backorder pretty quickly. I wouldnt say they are the authority, but they have some good stuff.
You know I always hear how bad OPG is but I have never had a problem with them. I was sent the wrong part once and they replaced it no problem. Anything that was backordered from them was recieved within a few weeks like they said. Not a problem since I'm wasn't in a rush for the parts. Prices are cheaper then YO but I usually order from YO if I can because of their customer service and BPG discount. Some stuff I couldn't find at YO and got it from OPG. I've spent about $2000 at OPG and don't have any complaints. Just do your homework.
I think that many of the complaints that have been aired previously involved the customer being told parts were in stock by the salesperson, when in fact they were not, and were backordered. I guess that's one way to get the order, instead of losing it to the competition...
I have been real happy with them. Except I ordered interior dye from them 2 times same part #. I received a different color.
I have had no problems with OPG. I do notice that they are out of stock on items, :af: but they always seem to have the answers and the willingness to help. Another plus for me is that they are about 40 miles from me so I can will call. :TU:
Does someone as a OPG catalog for sale ? Even if it's not a 2004 ..... I receive the Year One catalog but I wasn't able to find some little piece I was lookin for ... I'll pay for it of course it will cover the postage . So if you have one for sale let me know , by the same time is there a TA Performance catalog avaiable ? and a Website ? Thanx for your time . Donald, try the parts place. www.thepartsplaceinc.com. They have a nice online catalog, good prices and usually have stuff in stock.
Thank you , but I still unable to find Sail panel light (opera) with or w/o the Bezels for my 68 , Year One have the 69 but they are longer than mine , I mesure those of a friend who have a 69 ... about 2 inches longer . If you know where I could find this let me know please Thanx again
Duane Heckman has interior courtesy light lenses for 68's, for the rear. I assume this is what you are looking for. There are 2 very similar lengths however. You'll need to accurately measure the inside dimensions of your housings and give that info to Duane. No one else can provide you with these lenses. His id here on the board is Duane.

How much close the 2 lengths are ... I do some mesurement and it's 5 3/16 X 1 5/16 Can you confirm if that measurement is 1 of the 2 you mentioned ? Here's a picture of mine
Donald, I do not recall the dimensions, but there is only about 1/16" difference, but it's enough to make it near impossible to fit the larger lense in the smaller housing. As I said before, send a PM to "Duane" on the board, and give him your information. He was selling the slightly larger lenses for around $30/pair.
Is it possible for someone to get the OPG catalog , then I'll buy it from you ? You won't loose a penny :Brow: I've tried 3 times to get the catalog online but no responce ... opg I will check tonight to see if I still have one of their books, I stopped talking to them a year ago, just too many problems. I would call and they told me they had something, I drove over, about an hour, and they didn't really have it, I finally started ordering everything from Year One, had to pay shipping but always got it and if I didn't like it they sent me something else. Did the whole interior from them. I buy some things from Poston, have always had good luck with them. I talked to a manager at OPG once about the problems I was having and the guy didn't seem to care. I don't have to go back. Dean
