I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a paint. I have not used this but some guys I know have had good luck with these guys. http://www.kirkerautomotive.com/index.html Your best bet would probably be to talk to someone at your local paint supply store, many have a low cost alternative to the big names, or a cheaper line made by the same company. PPG has Omni and Shop Line (which is only available at a PPG Platinum distributors), DuPont has Nason to name a few. I've painted with Omni (color matching and coverage is not great, especially with green) and I will be painting my Skylark in a couple weeks with the new ShopLine. I know there are some paints on ebay for around $100 for a gallon if you are wanting real cheap.

Yeah, this shop is about 10 mins from my house and they have a very good selection of products, and the employees are very helpfull. I buy my supplies from them all the time. Or you can go the ebay route, but the quality isn't as great.

    Thanks

I used to paint cars in the 80's when you could get a gallon of Dupont Enamel for under $100 and the hardner was $20.

I am shocked at the current prices.

I guess I am in the same boat everybody else is as far as material prices.

I do know that prep work is really hard work and to spray poor quality materials on top is a waste of hard work.

    Thanks
