Well I painted them the way the General would have in 1968. The new ones come black and you need to and the silver to it, AL.

Does not look like a Buick grille to me! Grilles are a PIA to mask the paint.

    68-early 69 Grills

Thanks Bill, they were over an hour each to tape up. I now know why there are so many solid black incorrect 68-early 69 Corvette grills. They come all black new and need to be painted (late 69 they were all black). AL.

Dave, yes you got me! I have a love of many GM cars. The one I didn't paint my painted complained about was the one for my 72 GS, AL.

    68 Grill Paint

No, there are two large opening at the lower valance and the directional light wire was hanging out of the left hole.

  8. Nelly would be proud of that grille.

    68 Corvette Grill Paint

What made the job tuff was the grill bars are silver and black long ways so the need to each one split black and silver, then around the directional light there is a ring you need to mask around. Bottom line DONE!!! Thanks AL :beer AL.

Being the token Chevy guy I so desparately wanted to say something silly about this "Buick Corvette" but couldn't come up with anything. Oh well

At least the grass is mowed this time, Al... :bglasses:

Keith, how did you know about the grass  (did it two days ago). As far as a token, no your part of this BPG family here :beer . It's funny how I got this car (I was not looking for it). I saw a bunch of kid using the 68 Corvette for a play ground stand and I ask the owner if I cound buy it. Well that was over 20 years ago and now I've got with it to make it new once more. She has come a long way..... AL.
