Been working out of town but got back and cleaned off over spray from wheeling out.Sunny day today so worked outside and took some pictures :kodak: of Final paint work.I am VERY VERY happy :TU: :TU: with final outcome-NO ISSUES what so ever.Hey Walt used Base Coat clear coat-paint was cheap $125 but clear was $350.On paint just applied thin layers same with clear. In a real paint booth could probably apply thicker but in my home made paint booth gets hard to see with fog and wearing full face respirator so applying thin layers is the safest way to go.Silver mist is probally the hardest paint apply without any issues. Here are some pictures from couple of hours ago    Mike L.

Here is the 3rd. conv. just starting .It is originally a Michigan car (reason for all rust issues).I picked it up in Cleveland Ohio.It had not ran since 1979 and the man thought motor was froze up.I got it home and cleaned up motor ,new plugs fuel filter, changed oil, antifreeze, removed old gas, would not fire up tried adjusting distributor but still no fire. Finally went and grabbed another complete distributor and fired right up and smooth as can be.The motor idled so smoothly you could put a glass of water on motor and water barley shook. The distributor had an issue and people could not figure it out and this is why it sat not running since 1979.took it for drive down the road and it shift great. It is original #s motor and does have major issues-Frame rusted through couple of spots (junk)But I have several xtra boxed frames around.Doors and fenders are wasted (not fixable)but I have some nice doors I got from board member in Washington ( THANKS) 1/4 panels and wheel wells gone But I have few nice complete 1/4 sets around.Trunk lid is wasted ,floor pan has 2-minor repairs and trunk will need to be replaced This fall began taking apart and found out its not as bad as it initially looked.Dog legs are excellent and shell itself is not bad. This is a nice color combo and has the orignal drive train and deserves to come back ALIVE and WILL.Just wanted to let you know the story on this conv. and the condition before getting started and will keep you posted with pictures :kodak: as she comes back to life and I promise you will be amazed when she is finally done.I am doing good on doors and hood and 1/4 panels but could use help with both fenders, trunk lid and core support -glad to pay fair price and shipping Thanks Mike L.

Took the hood off today and sprayed under hood ,dash, inner doors and rear light area with semi-gloss black as factory had it.Turned out nice and put hood back on.Also installed door strikers and door latches after cleaning and lubricating them. here are some :kodak:
