Have you guys had good results in painting a dash pad. I have experimented on the hard plastic (black to red) with good results using custom Radiant Red SEM paint and Bulldog Adhesion Promoter. I recently aquired a new black dash that I want to make red but I am concerned about lasting results on soft vinyl vs plastic. I would go nuts if the paint cracked or scratched off easy.
I’ve done it with good results. Be sure to clean thoroughly before prepping for adhesion promoter and paint. I used simple green to clean. I also hit with compressed air to dry and remove any dust or fibers. Don’t hurry it, clean two or three times if you must. You can’t imagine the amount of grime that can build up in the grain over the years. Good luck.
