can anyone help me with removing my parking break? I can't figure out how to get the cable out. The one that runs into the firewall. Can't seem to bend the fingers enough to get it to slide down and out.

Try sliding a socket down the cable to squeeze all three "fingers" at the same time.

or take a small hose clamp and wrap it around those springy finger thingies and tighten up....

leave the clamp high enough so you let the springy things through the hole..then take clamp off....

have tried both of those and it didn't work. though will try a smaller socket and see if that will work, the one i did try though seemed pretty tight but still not enough to push in the fingers.

try getting someone to push up on this line while you are inside tightening....maybe the "fingers" are scraping the floor metal around the hole and resisting any movement. The hose clamp method works well...also try using a hammer to knock it through the hole once you get the clamp on there.

Others have suggested a 1/2 or 9/16 box end wrench--this also leaves room for the hammer
