I have a master power window switch here that was advertised as a 71 Buick Full size.... The brass pin on the back is too long. What does it work on?

Some of the later cars that one longer pin was used for a screw on type cap (there will be no threads on the rod as it used on of those friction twist on things) to hold the wiring harness connector on.... Physically they will fit but have never looked at how the circuits work. later tim
I am curious about cutting it down to size and plugging it in....o No: But I don't even need this switch...as the one in my car is working - for the moment. I do need one passenger side front switch, and both power lock switches.
