Hello everyone: I have been reading this forum for the past couple of months and I have enjoyed it a great deal. I bought a '68 Electra Conv. in July of this year. It was pretty rusty and needs extensive body work. I think its worth saving because the engine,trans and interior are in great shape. Can anyone out there tell me what other full-size GM cars have similar parts to the Electra? I believe the LeSabre,Bonneville, Olds 98 and Caddy are compatible, but I want to be sure. LeSabre I know the LeSabre is, I've got one! The trim is different in that the 225 is more upscale and about a foot longer in the rear. I would be careful about mixing olds/cad/chev full size parts in that in 68 most psrts are unique to the division (ie Buick). Most parts for the 225 are available, although you may need to search for them. Some leads can be found in the BCA Bugle. Are you going to do a stock restoration? - Bill
parts I have a 1968 Electra 2dr hdtp parts car for my 1967 Electra convertible,not much seems to fit between the two,e-mail me with a list of parts you may need and I will check what I've got,any trades for 67 parts will do,but cash is good too:grin:. I'm planning to bring it back to stock as much as possible(maybe different wheels). I need a trunk lid,left hood hinge, two rally wheel center caps and a header bow for the top frame. Also, the ductwork for the hvac system is missing. I need a window motor for the LF door. If anyone has these parts, please let me know. Thanks, Perry '68 Electra Conv.
