Recently pulled a console from a 1966 Buick Skylark that had been sitting in a local junkyard car for years. It was minus the gear selector plate and the top of the console from the selector plate to the tach housing is no good. Over the years, water had leaked in on it and ruined the front pot metal top portion of the console. The black plastic base and the console box pot metal portion are good. Also the emblem that goes in the tach housing (when you don't have the tach inserted) is in excellent condition. So, if you have a cracked console or you have a console with a damaged or missing lid this will work for you. Asking $50 for the black plastic base w/ console box section + shipping. Also, asking $20 for the plastic emblem that goes in the tach housing opening. If you send me your email address in a PM I can send pictures. Mike
Do you have the plastic slider plate for the shifter and assembly that holds the slider up in the console? I'm very interested in the assembly that holds the slider plate up. I think it might be two black plastic strips that have slots that hook into the tabs on the underneath side of the bezel to hold the slider in place when it goes back and forth. If you don't have this, perhaps someone could suggest something to use instead? Thanks, Dave
I have a console base, not cracked with the box and lid portion intact. If you want it, $50 + ride. It's boxed up 46 X 9 X 14 carton ready to go. I would use USPS (cost estimate with shipping about $79 total). I believe you indicated to me a couple of months ago you didn't need any more parts consoles? I have pics if you want to see it. Shoot me an email and I will send them to you. Mike
YOU ARE CORRECT Mike! I have acquired about 8 ~ 70-72 and 1.5 ~ 68-69 consoles since my posting, and I have realized 4 of these recently purchased are NONrestorable. :spank: Pitting too deep, mounting studs missing, etc... So I must get a little more 'PICKY'N CHOOZY' about what I purchase. Send me pix of what you've got: PenWheelz2@ij.net and dont be disappointed if I pass on what I see...K? :TU: KEEP IN MIND. . . RESTORABLE MANUAL SHIFT CONSOLETTES 65-72 are also on my bucket list!!ray: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
