Can't find a sub-forum for "body" or "exterior"

Besides the sport mirrors, I'm gonna guess that there were no passenger side door mirrors in 70-72? Was it an option at least?
I want a RH mirror to match the drivers side, or at least something that looks acceptable even if it's not the same style.

Also, is it possible to take the remote drivers side apart and tighten up a loose mirror? Or is it a lost cause?

    Thanks

The Parts Place sells reproduction RH mirrors for reasonable money.

It was an accessory, not an option

I agree...I'd like one on my 70 car,but I have sport mirrors already,so I'll go that route.$200 clams is too rich for my blood.

If I had your money,I'd have them too...lol
It does suck having 1 mirror.Especially since I drove trucks for over 40 years..

Lest we forget: the RH mirrors for the '70 models used to be (almost) unobtainium and were priced as such.

I paid 900 for the one on aquamist. The repros are good but there's nothing like NOS

Not to put salt on the wounds,
but back in the day (late 80’s early 90’s) I was buying perfect used mirrors out of California. I had a friend that would get them out of the pick-a-part junkyards out there. I only bought perfect mirrors with all the hardware and gaskets. If they were not complete I would not buy them.

I used to sell the mirrors for
    Driver side remote $125
    Driver side non-remote $65
Passenger side non-remote $125 (for the 1970 mirrors) or less depending on the year.

I was buying all the perfect used “pot metal” pieces I could find (that were not reproduced) including front hood moldings, vinyl top corners, mirrors, rear bumper “Buick” emblems, etc. Wish I had some of that inventory today.
