Hi , is it suposed to be a PCV valve on a 350-2 form a 1968 Skylark ?

My pcv original hose has the valve cover end broken , so that hold by little , i was told to put a PCV Valve and a grommet at this end .

Does I better have to do that ? Tx for your time .

    brblx clueless

the valve cover hoes is just a breather.

the hole for the grommet & PCV is behind the carb in the intake. should go the front of the carb.

could be different on earlier cars, though?

On my '69, the PCV is on the intake behind the carb. And, the valve cover is just a breather.

The pcv valve is located behind the carb in this pic. It's hard to see but it's sticking up about an inch. It's the little silver thing next to the red nipple for the power booster.

Thanx guys for your answer !

I'll check it out for the PCV Valve then behind the carb .

How important the breather hose is ? If some air pass around it because my hose is not tight , I have to do some search for a good one .

JTY .... does my motor look like yours according to the picture i sent ?

    See ya !

But still one question left .... the end who goes to the air cleaner is easy to install with a clamp ... but how you instaled the end who goes into the valve cover ??

There is a double male ended piece that is usually there if nobody's tossed it out. I bet one of the folks on this board has an extra. I don't know where to get one except a plumbing supply store maybe:Do No:

It's only about an inch or 2 long.

This is the best pic I have of it. It's sticking out of the drivers side valve cover.

I just bought a 3/4 hose at 1,39$/ feet with an 90 degree elbow , seem to be a perfect fit ! I'm going to fix it this afternoon , i'll telle you if that work but for 11 $ that's a deal !

    Thanx for the help

    Got It ! :)

I place the grommet onto the valve cover , put an elbow into it , the hose fit in this and goes in the breather filter . That is solid and don't pay a lot for that .

I also change the PVC valve which is behind the carbs in the intake like you told me ... thanx again !

    See ya later .

And a full view ... grommet , pcv elbow and 3/4 heater hose ...
I made some research for the original hose but find nothing yet ... as it is a "daily" that's ok for the moment .
