PDR on a classic car!

  1. Has anybody had good experiences using pointless dent removal on a classic car? I've got a small dent in my quarter panel I'd love to have removed.

I did years ago on the 67 wildcat had a small push in dent in front fender but no paint damage. It was at a friends shop so I wasnt there but from what I was told it took the guy quite a while but he did get it out and you couldn't tell and never came back

I have had a lot of experience with PDR on classic cars and working for a large Ins. Co. with a classic auto program (which uses PDR as well) as well as having worked closely with PDR Vendors, etc. There are many positives about PDR when the damage is withing PDR's capabilities. It also makes a lot of sense to try to keep original sheet metal and paint where possible. I would suggest that you ask many questions regarding the experience level of the Technician you ultimately consider. PDR can be used on the older cars with much thicker sheetmetal (sometimes 2x as thick) and there is a difference in technique. You just don't want your vehicle to be the one the Tech learns on. That's my .02 cents.
