I have purchased some white vinyl/plastic paint for the hard plastic interior pieces on my 70 convertible. I have painted the arm rests and it seems too white. The interior is a Pearl White and seems like it is more of an Ivory? color than white for the basecoat. Does anyone know the correct basecoat for the Pearl? I have the Pearlescent topcoat from TPP. Thanks for the Help!
You bought the wrong dye. Go to any local Sherwin Williams auto paint supplier and buy SEM Super White 15103. Spray on a coat or two and then lightly apply your pearl topcoat.
Thanks George My local paint co gave me SEM 15313 white. I knew somone on the board would know what is correct!
