She give the wrong kid an "F" or what? No insurance?

  4. That really sucks, Bill. Same thing happened to the same glass on our van 2 summers ago. Looked like a bb or pellet gun though. You could see the point of contact in a lower corner, and the crack lines all extended out from that spot. I happily did not have to pay any of the replacement cost.

Bill, check your salvage yards. Might have to look with that being a newer van but it should be cheaper than new. Also if you can't locate one that way, see your local glass shop and go "aftermarket vendor." ie. some other brand than "Safeguard" (Mopar's brand). THis window has studs with the nuts on the back side. They are accessed from the inside under the inside trim. You should be able to install it yourself with a "butyl seal kit." Be sure not to tighten any of the nuts too tight when you put it back in and should also thighten them fairly evenly. This should save you some bucks. Any questions PM me or e-mail me at "drglass617@cox.net"
Hope this helps and hope ya find the bastards!

When i moved from my previous house to my current one I had to park the Riv in the street. Some punks were doing something with it, 'cause i heard the alarm go off. Funny thing is I was packing up my guns at the time and ran out gun in hand (I was so worried about the car I didn't really think about what running full bore with a rifle would look like) Well they took off pretty darned fast, but who knows what they may have been up to. I had a bunch of garage stuff visible in the car (i was moving remember?)

Anyway i'm really sorry to hear about that.

Hope you find out who it was. Have daddy pay for it and teach that kid a lesson.

    Re: Thanks

Guess "bolt in" isn't the term I would have used but it works. The "term" that is; not the BOLT!!! (Although I've seen where some idiot tried that on a door glass!! :Dou: Even used
a lock washer! :Do No: )
Anyway, have ya had any luck finding a replacement window? Just curious.

    window

Yes - Thanks for asking, although I'm not sure I want to think about it :ball:

I went with a company "safeglass" that came out to the house and replaced it with OEM glass. The van's only a year old and has about 8K miles on it, plus its the wife's.....:Brow: , so we went with the new correct glass to make sure it looks original. Now if it were mine, it would still have the cardboard and plastic over it!

Price installed was $414. Glass was $380, labor was cheap! Only took a few

It still sucks to have your car window broken for no reason.
