Yeah, that is for the Transmission Controlled Spark (TCS) emissions system. It is an oil pressure sender. It signals the TCS when the transmission shifts into high gear.
I traced an oring on that connector for like a month b4 I figured it out. I was very upset at myself for not changing it when I rebuilt or when I had the pan off again.........the change from the inside so the pan has to be off
Try putting in a pint of dot 111 brake fluid. What this does is help swell the seals a bit & usually stops many leaks. Won't cause ANY damage & is something cheap to try. Just my thoughts. Tom T.
I dropped the pan after siphoning most of the fluid out. Old cork gasket was cracked in the middle in places. I trued up the pan an clearcoated it. Installed new filter and rubber gasket. Filled it up this morning and test drove it, topped it off and I came home from work just now...... NO leaks!!
Not to get off topic, but rather a tip. If you have any swelled rubber gaskets or anything rubber that swelled. We would stir them around in actual Oil Dry. Shrinks back to normal size. We would do this to our Rotax race engines head O-rings if none were to be found in the race trailer. (Unusual)
There were a few drops overnight from crossmember. Does anyone happen to know what this piece is between the transmission and crossmember? Residual ATF may have been dripping from it?
Rear transmission mount. Lots of fluid can collect there from the leak before you fixed it. Flush it with Isopropyl and pressurized air.
