    Hello,
Has anyone used this distributor and a matching coil on a 1972 350-4??? Any issues???

    Thanks

I have the Pertronix Ignitor III system installed in a stock 1967 430 distributor, along with a Flame Thrower III coil and matching set of suppressor wires. Zero issues for the past nine years. I have a new system in a NOS distributor ready to drop in, just in case my distributor gear gets worn.

    Len,

Thanks for your thoughts. I also was thinking about having a spare in the trunk.

I presently do have a small amount of wear on my current distributor gear - I get another 1 degree of timing dialed in once the hold-down on the timing cover is tightened.

At some point, I'll drop in the replacement assembly, just haven't had the need to do it yet. The Ignitor III system is much more reliable than the I and IIs - no stupid magnet wheel under the rotor to worry about. I went through a couple of those when I first switched over from the points.
