If anyone could post the correct phone number for Hobbs (Hobs? Hobbes?) carb shop in Pelham, New Hampshire, I'd sure appreciate it. Directory assistance gave me the wrong one, twice now.

    Also-

I think the carburetor forum is a great idea, but maybe "Mixing Shop" isn't the best name, Jim...kinda confusing. When i think of "Mixing Shop" I think of a custom paint mixer's place. Maybe "Carb shop" would help that forum out? I know it's not a clever name, but the place doesn't see much traffic, it seems.

So I am askeing here instead:

I have the dual divorced choke on my Q-jet. I would like to install it very badly, but I am used the Edelbrock performer 455 manifold.

How am i going to hook up this dual divorced choke? I am currently running an electrical one, but I am sure I have seen a thermostatic coil arrangement on the Edelbrock performer 455 manifold- somewhere. Anyone have a part number and supplier for me? Or maybe even a better way to do it?

    Thanks John.

I have not decided who will do the work just yet, but I'd like to keep my options open just now.

Are they just not so good with Buick specific carbs? I have an uncle who tells me they do lots of marine carburetion work with his company, and I know a professional machinist who uses them for his carb work ever since they did his '67 Vette's carb for him.

It can't hurt to call them. Luckily I am not car-less if the carb goes out someplace as I am currently running a different carb.

I am the type of guy who will say right up front, "hey, I've gotten mixed reports of the quality of your work from guys in, and out of, my car club. What are you going to do for me?". They might be pros, but I am the customer and it's not their car, after all. But thank you for the warning.

Not a huge deal, John. I've had other things to do anyway.

    Bob, thanks for the number
