If you think a factory 4 spd GS is rare, try and locate a 1978-79 Century Wagon. i was looking for a 67 GS400 when this thing fell in my lap. I've been looking for one of these for more than 8 years. Ok so I'm a wierdo collecting G-Wagons... this is still a hell of a find! It's a 1978 Century Limited, all options, 103k kms, not a spot of rust anywhere, and the interior has no rips or damage. I even got a bucket of original parts, and the factory build sheet. Not bad for 1k Canadian (700 US) It's only sporting a 305 right now, but I'm sure a 455 can be arranged! My other Wagon, the 79, has been so heavily modified now that I really wanted a cruiser similar to the original look. When the 79 goes in for a frame off next year this 78 will be my daily driver. I was hoping to buy something with a little more muscle, but for what this thing cost I probably still can!
Can't beat that deal! Another couple years, you'll be looking for a daily driver wagon again, once the new one is over-done!
wagons :Brow: Howdy Got to love them wagons! Yes keep the woodgrain. I have an 82 olds wagon with the woodgrain and like it better than the 82 malibu without it. People always look at me funny when I pass them on the highway like they are sitting still!:3gears: Now I need to make it better on stop light to stoplight action! Enjoy the ride~   Mark :TU:
Nothing like driving your first car again! I had this thing out on the weekend for a little highway trip. Costs $33US to go 350 miles but this thing will have half the maintenance costs of my other cars...who the hell came up with the cheap rubber for CV-joint boots anyways? It's a blast to drive, real solid, corners well with those big tires. and Cruise, A/C, and a real AM/FM radio are items my 79 never had! Mark, got any pics of those cars?
Howdy so sorry but no shots of the wagons or any of the others at this time one of the many things on my list Mark
