Roberta, I'm not much of a Buick freak (except for the V6's) but I LOVE that Red convert, especially since I found out it's a GS.

Thanks, Donny. That was first round and was really close. I missed 2nd gear completely, and went straight to 3rd. Was really close at the end as she was coming on strong. Good thing I had the lead early. Sliding that clutch really helped the launch big time, but the 1-2 shift comes real quick with that 4.56. Was leaving at almost 5000 RPM and really helped getting it going. Roberta had a big spin that round which gavce me the lead. Fun match all the way as those two cars are really evenly matched right now.
Dave, here is your run on vintage 8mm film........ funny how you'd never know this was not 1969... <embed width="440" height="380" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://video.tinypic.com/player.swf?file=4osmbs4"></embed>
I know one way it's easy to tell it's not 1969. Both cars have 1968 license plates on them. Thought that was cool. Actually there's another more foolproof way than that. If this was 1969 with original OEM Polyglas tires on them rather than the repros of today, we'd both still be spinning. Those things were like bricks. Wouldn't happen to have a video of the second round would you? It was a much closer race. I didn't miss a gear and she didn't spin. Great race. Those cars are really quite equal right now. That's the way it ought to be in Pure Stock/Factory Stock.
