Pics of the '65 with new wheels

    17x8 TT2s front and rear. Rears are 4.5" of BS with 255/50/17s...fronts are 4" of BS with 225/45/17s. Rears clear fine but I had to do some trimming on the front wheel wells to get it to clear from lock to lock.

    Looks awesome ...can you explain - can you take a pic of the trimming you had to do ? Are you running any kind of lowering up front ? Thanks J.

    Holy thread from the dead lol I've actually gone back to 15" cragars. But the car has Hotchkis lowering springs, lakewood 50/50s in the rear and 70/30s in the front, along with addco front and rear swaybars. The only trimming i had to do was along the bottom of the rear front wheelwells. At full lock the tires would rub. It wouldn't have been a problem if i had gone with a 7" wide rim with 4" of BS. So i trimmed off about 3" and never had anymore rubbing issues.

    which are the original wheels on the `lark in the states ?:confused:

    fater on the rear as the front or same dimension ?

    So what do you actually trim the wheelwell-wheelhouse itself and where ? Could I trouble you for a few pics ? Im in the same boat .... Thanks J.
