17x8 TT2s front and rear. Rears are 4.5" of BS with 255/50/17s...fronts are 4" of BS with 225/45/17s. Rears clear fine but I had to do some trimming on the front wheel wells to get it to clear from lock to lock.
Looks awesome ...can you explain - can you take a pic of the trimming you had to do ? Are you running any kind of lowering up front ? Thanks J.
Flat-Out beautiful ! Love the stance too . That is the stance I'm trying for on my 64' Sport Coupe .Waiting to hear how you got the stance too . Great ride !! Steve
Holy thread from the dead lol I've actually gone back to 15" cragars. But the car has Hotchkis lowering springs, lakewood 50/50s in the rear and 70/30s in the front, along with addco front and rear swaybars. The only trimming i had to do was along the bottom of the rear front wheelwells. At full lock the tires would rub. It wouldn't have been a problem if i had gone with a 7" wide rim with 4" of BS. So i trimmed off about 3" and never had anymore rubbing issues.
WOOOOOW !!!!!:TU: this is what i WANT to do, but it`s not admitted in good old germany with the history license plate :ball: which are the original wheels on the `lark in the states ? fater on the rear as the front or same dimension ? michael
So what do you actually trim the wheelwell-wheelhouse itself and where ? Could I trouble you for a few pics ? Im in the same boat .... Thanks J.
