I'd like to see what your ride(s) look like with aftermarket wheels on them. I've found a few pics and like 'most' of them. I'm thinking of going with a polished or silver 17 or 18" on the LeSabre, but won't be buying any for another month or so, so I might as well get a few sneak peeks. thanks. Tom IV
Hey Chris, Did you see a change in your ride quality with those tires? I had 20" wheels on my Tahoe for a while and it wasn't too bad, but I did notice a difference, especially the weight for driving. Also, what do you guys think about 17's on the front and 18's on the back? Any fitment problems? Thanks.
Most definitely a stiffer ride, since there is much less sidewall. I am running 245/45 on the rear and 225/45 on the front's, I think I had 70 series before. I also installed 2 inch drop coils. I think 18's would be fine for the rear, make sure you get the backspacing right. I went with standard (4 inch I think) because I was in a hurry and didn't want to wait for custom backspacing. If I did it again, I would get more backspacing so I could get more tire in there. With the way the fenderwheels are cut in the rear in a 69, a lot of my rim is buried, so 18's weren't right for me. Now if I did it on my 70, 18's would be fine. Good luck!
Here is a shot with Cragar SS Forged. They are 15x8 4.5 back spacing. 245/60 front and 295/50 on the rear.
Eagle alloy 18's with 245/40's. just got them and put them on for this pic. still alot more work to do.....
