Need some help with my 1970 GS455 w. a/c. Just started to restore my heater box but I'm very confused with the foam inside the box. I know that there should be some foam inside the box but there is no trace of it. I've been Googling for some pictures and information about my heater box, but zero result. No one at Youtube shows how to assemble the box with all parts, they just show the box before and after....maybe it's a trade secret??? So, can some one at v8buick.com help me out? I need pictures or a film where the foam is be placed inside the box. //B
http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/brass-copper-heater-cores-at-summit.327876/ I did not use any foam on mine.
Thanx 12lives for the pictures. Do you have some pictures on the doors and the springs? One of doors need some foam, but I don't know how to place the foam?? Any one??? //B
I used this from Amazon on mine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P1X98L9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cJgNFbK5ZMRZ7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 You need very small hands to do this correctly. Mine is a non air car but you'd basically be doing the same thing. To affix the foam on the back if the door, you need to be a contortionist.
