    Thanks!! I love to see people faces when I popp the hood. They now it's not a chevy, but because the engine was only made 2 years most people think is a Buick 350. Wrong! Well I guess you could call it a 351= 340 bored .060. Na I will stick with 340 it sounds alot more mysterious. The best compliment I got was from my neighbor. He says to me,"What kind of engine did you put into your car?" I asked him "How do you know I changed the engine in my car?" He says, " It sounds very different, so I know you changed the motor!" My car had the 305HO with headers and a nice cam in it. It sound good, but the 340 with my mods sounds alot better. I just can't wait to get my headers from Poston this summer and 3 inch exhaust!:bglasses:

    Just IMO, and not like I know much, but I think you'd make more usable power with a more modest 2.5"... either way, the 3" will sound good and Buick in a Chevy is one of my dreams :grin:

    (this is my 500th post, not that thats a big deal, but I havent been here that long :eek2: )

    Hey, I got one of those

    Glad to see another 340-4 out there. Mine is bored 0.050" to use stock bore 350 forged pistons. True 10.5:1 C.R., late model 350 rods w/ARP bolts, 10/10 crank, bottom end studs, ported intake, heads and exh. manifolds, Crane cam, adj push rods, T/A front cover w/adjustable regulator, Crane ignition topped off with a 750 cfm E'brock (AFB) and K&N
