    308 posi to 373's

    carb redone by john osborn.

adjustable upper rear controll arms from jegs.

    shiftworks kit for the 700r4

    postons jet hot headers.

    T/a intake

    dist. by dave smallbody GM.

rebuilt driveshaft spicer U joints done twice.

the ? is the car vibrates bad, so I just installed jeg's rear upper adj. controll arms. the drive shaft to rear end angle was at 5.5 deg. so I changed it to 3.5deg.
but it still vibrates alot, I do believe it is a little smoother.I think.

does any one know the proper angle.and the way to determed that angle. just to make sure I'm doing it right.

I just went through this 2 weeks ago.

To figure it out, you need to do 2 measurements.

Measure the angle of the trans at the rear yoke seal or output shaft. It will usually be pointed down (a negative number).

Then measure the angle of the rear at the yoke. It will be pointed up (+) or down (-).

Then add your two numbers. It should be around -2 so that under power it will end up around 0 (since the rear angles upward under power).

If it's right, then check the U-joints for slop. If that's good too, then have it balanced.

    Hope this helps.

    everyone is right now :>]

after having the drive shaft balanced 2 times I thought it would be ok.

wrong I brought it to another place they just smiled when they looked at my driveshaft.

they called me one hour later after taking off 80 grams and all the weights that the first shop put on. no vibration.

but I do have adj. upper controll arms.

and the shifter from shifworks after 20 times trying to make it work. no luck if I make it go into park then no low or vice versa. ,then cable broke, that was a blessing. why the new one they sent me works fine. problem first one ? just not right.

salem is looking good thanks for all the input.

just remember if you can then "just do it yourself"

    thanks don s
