Scott, I'm no expert by any means but my understanding is that the pin location was moved on the 2353F to lower the piston slightly, thus giving less compression. The 2362P was sold as 10 to 1, the 2353 is 9 to 1?? been a while (jan) since I went through this. If you order the 2353F now you get more area above the upper ring and teflon coated sides. Its an ok piece, but heavy as pistons go, also the cheapest out there for forged. later Tim
Actually, by the time you buy decent rings for the sealed power pistons , the notched ones, I think you will have about the same money in them as the new wiseco pistons which are much lighter and use the much better 1/16 ring pack. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES
That may be true if you live in the US but not here . I bought my pistons and rings for $730.00 Canadian. Take the wesico pistons, multiply by 1.40 (minimum) for exchange, put in shipping, send it here where I will pay duty and tax (min 10%) and the speed pro's are much cheaper. The Weisco pistons are much better quality from what I can tell though. At the time they weren't available (I didn't know abut them). later Tim
That may be true, but remember , the speed pros don't come with notches, you pay extra to have valve notches cut into them. I'm just saying that by the time you buy the notched speed pros, and the rings , you will have spent around the same money as the wiseco piston. Jim Burek
True enough if you need the notches. I am actually planning on buying a set of the dished weisco pistons for the .030 block I have here.... later Tim
