on the passenger side (10 bolt 8.5) how do you get it out? Doesn't look like an "allen" type looks square. Anyone know what size it is? Thanks Pete
Believe it takes a 1/2" ratchet drive, or the extension, probably need a breaker bar or else you'll be testing the manufactures warrenty.
no , it should be 3/8 " , just use a 3/8 drive ratchet or breaker bar . its always best to clean out the head with a pick or small srewdriver first so ya can get it in as far as ya can and straight
Hey, what can I say, everytime I go to get copper tubing, or PVC, or even pipe I better take a sample with me. ou:
Yes it is 3/8" and I cant get that hiuiupouk to budge---I need a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter to get some better "cleverage" on it (cleavage+leverage)
Spray it with some PB Blaster & tap it firmly with a hammer. try Tightening it a bit ,sometimes the motion of going the other way busts it loose Take a small Flat screwdriver & clean it out good & use a breaker bar to bust it loose a 1/2 " if you need to. use a good breaker . . . one you can warranty if broken wear gloves & eye protection in case it busts :eek2: SR66 :TU:
i made myself a tool to take out things like that that want to stay where they are. It consists of 4' of 1.5" pipe that slide comfortably over the ratchet im trying to loosen the bolts with :Brow: works perfect every time... except for the times that the exhaust manifold bolts broke in the heads... no biggie, a drill and an easy out got it right out. :TU: Good Luck
Thanks for the help guys after I bought a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter and hooked up to my Craftsman breaker bar---it came out. By the way my POSI acted a little strange yesterday :af: ---no rear end noises but didnt seem to be quite grabbing as normal uzzled: ---the fluid was down about 18 oz which is a little more then a pint. I do seem to have a leak around the front of the casing where the U-joints join up o No: Need to have it checked out. Now its running like it used to :3gears: :beer Pete
