Thought I would post a poll. #1 pic has stock springs at rear. #2 has lowering springs at rear. Am happy with the way the frt sits. It has been lowered.
I didn't vote because I think the look that I'm after is a "stronger" look in the front and leave the rear hieght alone . It's your car .... and my opinion . Have fun , p p :TU:
I am with Bruce, I would prefer to see the front come down more. That being said, if after doing the front springs 3 or 4 times like you have means you are done messing with it, then I prefer #1, because it has a little "rake" (not enough, but at least a little). :beer
Tough one. I think it looks better with the more level stance, but I voted somewhere between 1 & 2. Maybe drop the front and back just a bit, with the back dropping a bit more than the front.
like the rake but i would loose the whitewalls it would suit the rake better....give it a little more muscular feel........with the whitewalls the #2 actually looks better cause its level
Mike..Ivoted for #1. The car just looks better .This might be my vote because my 67 looked low in the back when the tank was full of fuel. After all you've been thru i'd leave the back springs as in pic #1.
I have always liked stock Buicks, especially 64-67's since they always had a lower look than the other GM cars. Maybe it's a combination of Buick rallye wheels and traditional '60s Buick wheel opening design. Unfortunately my '66 Skylark is riding very high up front with the new springs installed! Yancy
Am thinking 17 teens new cragar ss 605's and low profile redline tires would be killer. Saw a a 66 lark in Palm Springs that looked good with 14 teen he had 60's all way round with p235 @ rear and p225 @ frt. He had white raised lettering. I would prefer black if I was to take that route.Kills me to change the rims as they are mint condition.
If they are mint, you should be able to recoup most of your money. As a car is "never done", go with your heart and what makes you happy. I like picture #1 account the only cars that look good "up" in front are A/G Willy's blasting down the 1/4 mile. Jim
To me, pic #2 looks like the springs are worn out- pic #1 looks stronger and better maintained. -Bob Cunningham
