    Super Nice Brian!!!!

My absolute favorite muscle car. It dont get any better. You got it all: 389 / tri-power / 4-speed / vacuum gauge / rally cluster?. Im missing the Rally Is but it is an outstanding car. :TU: :TU: :TU:
    I wish I had one.

Wish I had one too! I'm sorry if I gave someone the impression that the car was mine. It belongs to one of our customers. He is not planning on going to a meet in South Carolina but there is talk of a meet in St. Louis? I'll have to ask him what plant the car was built at. I just had him on the phone and forgot to ask. :Dou: It was delivered to a Pontiac dealer in Covington, KY. so it is a local car. I was told the dealership burned down some time ago.

Very nice. Beautiful color. Don't care for the wire wheels, myself.

Why didn't they recolor the carbs?

Original plated finish was kind of an olive color which could be depending on the photo light exactly what is shown.

Ok. I guess pictures do fool you sometimes. I can see the bases are painted; the bodies just seemed too dull.

It could be that so many are now painted with that Eastwood paint which makes them look gold that when we see one plated correctly they look odd. Very few shops or owners go to the expense of disassembly and sending them out for plating. I am not a GTO expert but we have both an Olds tri-power plated and a stage 1 GSX carb(s) correctly plated rather than painted (except bases which are suppoed to be painted). The other status is that they have been tanked and left plain which strips the old plating leaving them just the base metal color--silver /gray. Some rebuilders just leave them that way --no paint nor plating.

Awesome...getting ready to tear into my '66 soon. Originally Tiger Gold w/ black top and interioir but now red w/ white top and interior. I'm thinking Barrier Blue with white top and interior. Car is a 389 auto with A/C, power windows, power antenna and a few more nice options I can't think of now. The paint code was 12 which PHS said was unknown color but probably Tiger. Car is clean with no rust. How difficult would it be to convert to tripower?

Depends on how much you want to spend, and how particular you are about having the correct date codes. They're out there.

I believe this beautiful car is your Barrier Blue. It's a wonderful color! The tri-power should be easy stuff-it's just a bolt on!

tri power is not difficult to install as long as u have all the pieces. i can tell u that u will pay a steep price for the intake manifold & carbs, in very good condition. and then u will have to learn how to tune each carb.

    Brian,

Thanks for the pic! Mine will have a white top and interior and will have the RallyII's and redlines. Wish you/I were closer, after seeing the nice job you did on that fellas GTO. :TU:

    car looks good, guys

    Brian,
Looks like you did an awesome job on Tom's car. I have known him for a few years as I went to college and work with his wife so I know he appreciates that level of work. I want to see it when he gets it home. I will drive my Stratomist Blue '70 Stage 1 4 speed over and see if he wants to race !!!
I once left a couple of marks in front of his house with my Grand National so why not the GS.

    Hi Bret,
Welcome to V8Buick! That is one street race I'd love to see. Has your GS engine been on the dyno? Tom said a huge number for your car and I almost didn't believe it. I also wanted to see what his wife thinks of the GTO when she sees it. How about getting back to us on both counts!
