    Hello everyone

Throughout this forum I have read several accounts about various ram air systems that are offered. I have read posts that state that the ram air system offered by Poston is no good and that it is better to go with a ram air box offered in Canada. My question is why is one better than the other; they both appear to be the same concept. I understand that the front spoiler for Poston's system does not fit well, but if the ducts were run to the front headlights would it be any worse than the other system? If so why?

My other question is, will there be enough room under the hood to fit a flat base system on a 350 motor in a 68 Skylark.

    Thanks

The biggest problem with Poston's setup is too many bends in the piping to do any good. By using a system with the least amount of bends in the piping, you have better and more air flow. That's why an effective setup involves cutting through the core support and ducting through the hi-beams. This is the most direct route to put air into the engine.
