Hello, Recently recived a disc drum MC that was supposed to be for a manual brake application. The bore measures 1 1/8". Has any one used the larger bore MC without a vac. booster? What is the pedal going to feel like?
It does have the deep pushrod hole. And of course I'm going to use the upper hole on the brake pedal pivot.
Is it folly to even install it? Will I and my Skylark become road fodder?
    Thanks Folks,
    -Andrew

Well be carefull, May work. you can order the correct master from your local parts store {Autozone 71 GS. reman $15.00 with exchange} I prefer new though, this would be easyer and less risky. Ive done conversions before . From single chamber to duel for safety reasons {backup system} Im preasently doimg a disc - power Brake conversion my self. I see there is A Preportion valve change , Consider manufacture specs. Will brake applicatiom pressure be a factor? Being their both manual brake is it the same car application? It may work but if your not going power brakes I would just order the exact master , unless a car had a single chamber cyl. Also see that the brake line hook ups are the same size.

    Thanks for the reply.
For this conversion I am using the GlobalWest upper a-arms with 76 camaro spindles, discs and calipers. I got the disc/drum prop valve from a newer model Nova. I will be making all the brake lines myself, and keeping the rear drums.
I was just wondering what the larger bore MC is going to feel like compared to the 1" bore that is recomended for manual brake systems. I'm going to install it any ways as I don't have much into it.
I will report my findings here. Stay tuned.
