I need new power steering hoses for my '66 Skylark w/455 and I'm having trouble finding them. I hear that they are the same up to '70. Does anyone have part numbers? NAPA or?

I really don't want to pay Year One's outrageous shipping charges plus tax 'cause I live in GA. I've tried searching here without luck.

    Thanks

Really not the case . Many of the return lines were the same as they are a not high pressure lines. What year is your power steering unit? The year is needed to get the exact part number hose. I am not saying that you cannot make the wrong year hose fit just that the numbers are generally different.

Hey Jim, the pump came with the motor so it would be '73. I was just going by the yr 1 catalog that lists 1 high pressure hose for all '64 -'70 skylark/GS and another for '71 & '72 and was just thinking about the shape of the hose and not the fittings. My bad.

Assuming it is from a 73 455 A unit ( a 350 is different as are 455 B,C, & E units) it is a 7815475 for the high pressure side. It could be that this number has been changed since then.

NAPA can make hydraulic hoses......but they won't look stock. :bglasses:

I believe YO says the ones they sell are aftermarket. It may be difficult to get the NOS ones. The Yo ones look pretty good. I have used them but you are so right about their shipping and handling practices and prices.

Yeh, they used to be on the other side of town from me (1/2 hr drive) but they moved. 1 1/2 to 2 hr drive each way.

Jim, what vendor is that part #? Buick? NAPA?
