Hey, what is the best course? I need to rebuild, or get a rebuilt/new power steering pump for a '66 skylark/gs. Is there a reputable place to send it to, or get one? And about how much?Mine has over a hundred grand on it, and is getting noisy. Thanks, Frank
They're pretty easy to take apart and rebuild. The seal kit was about $20. On mine, the hard parts were all OK, it just needed to be cleaned up and painted, and I used a hammer and dolly to pull a couple of small dents out of the reservoir.
Good idea, where's the best place to get a rebuild kit for the pump? I dont remember seing them anywhere. The cap fits loose as well. do the kits come with a cover gasket? Thanks, Frank
