i swapped the oem steering box in my 57 special with a 605 saginaw power box for clearance problems. it seems to handle ok in a straight line, but it's a bear when i need to make a turn. does anyone know if that's the wrong box for that size car? thanks for any info.

how do you mean is it not quick enough or not turning the wheels far enough

factors that come into play are pitman arm turning radius of box itself or the pressure going in could be low

it's like trying to turn a mack truck with no power , the pump is new the pitman arm is stock, so i was just wondering if the box just can't handle a 4k lb car.
    thanks for your info.
