I was up at Bandimere Sunday some of my friends that i was talking to that run 3000 to 3500 car that run small blocks and big blocks run glides. I have 390 gear in my car at these time and like it. What is there for gear sets out there that would work with the 390S and a glide. also will the motor be able to handle a glide and not run a lot of R.P.M. I have a 4300 converter like it my car is 3650 with drive i am look at taking out a 100 pounds. What dose a power glide weigh and a turbo 400. Would like to keep the motor under 7000 with or with out a power glide. I no these is A Big one all my friends say do it but they all spin 7000+ through the traps They tell me just a swap to the glide with no other changes would pick the car up. I tell them you dont under stand i have a 35 pound main girdle to keep from blowing the bottom end out and a 10 pound lifter bore girdle to keep it from braking lifter bores?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
