Hi . . . I’m asking for prayers for my sister. She is going thru a tough time right now. Was diagnosed with breast cancer about 2 months ago. It’s a non-aggressive cancer and I think they caught it in time. She had the lump removed last week. She was supposed to go through radiation treatment starting on this past Monday. But we are running into some complications. She is going into surgery again tomorrow to remove her lymphoids(sp). (test came back suspicious) . And there is a problem with the “balloon” site where they are going to do the radiation treatment. Thanks! You guys and girls are the best. Tim.
The same here - I want Theresa to have a fantastic outcome! Tell her that we're rooting for her! Lots of prayers and good thoughts.....
Hang in there, both of you. Both of my parents won their fight with cancer about 2 years ago. First dad with prostate, later the same month of his prostatectomy mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Much longer and harder road to travel, but never the less they made it. I learned that cancer is not endured by the one person who has it, it is endured by all associated. It was a difficult time for all that ended up bringing a close family even closer together. We (my brother and 2 sisters) wanted to give them something to look forward to, so we got them a trip to Vegas. My parents never travel, and hadden't been to Vegas since the late 60's. I think that gave them something to think about, to help keep their busy minds on happy thoughts and good times. Our prayers are with you.
An update... Surgery went well. Nothing to worry about. I did have to run her to the Dr. this morning. She was concerned about too much drainage and the bulb was filling up a little quick. Plus some swelling she was unaware would occur. Thanks everybody.
An Other Update... My sister just got back from seeing the surgeon and everything is clear. She is cancer free. She still has the drain in and it looks like it's going to stay in for another week or so. Then she goes in for another shot at the "Balloon" thingig for the radiation treatment. That's it for now. I'll keep you updated. Thank you!!! Tim
More Updates... She saw the surgeon today. Still has the drain in. She was hoping it would come out today, but no. still draining a little too much. They also checked to see if they could insert another "balloon". It looks like they can't. There's not enough fluid in the cavity to support the balloon, so.... They are going to do the external radiation. 6 long weeks. so. Lets "pray" nothing happens. Thanks. Tim
Tim Good Luck to the both of you . We here at my house know and understand all to well the fear and feelings going on there . Mike and Diana
Here is the latest update. She will see the Doctor on Monday and get "some" of the test results back. But there is still more lab work that needs to be done. She will have to go thru the 6 week chemotherapy treatment before the radiation treatment now. The test results will determine how much chemo she'll have to go thru. She is in good spirits. Thank You! Tim
Forgive me, been busy with the holidays etc... But, . . . Here is the latest update. The test results came back and the numbers were so low they say no chemo is needed. She started her radiation treatments this week. So. . . right now things are going good. Thank God! I will keep everybody updated the best I can. Thank you! Tim
Glad to hear the news! 2x survivor here with an excellent prognosis. I wish the same for you and yours! Devon
