Halloween is a fitting time to show you some pics of my car I picked up today. I owned this car about 13 years ago and sold it. It looked a good deal different when I got rid of it, but I'm going to do what I can to slowly piece it back together. Only bad thing is; I wasnt the one who disassembled it so I'll be damned if I know where most of the parts go or how they attach. I think I'll be looking for a lot of screws, nuts and fasteners.

For the squeamish, turn away now!!!

    It's 'good' side

My interior... er... exterior.. yeah, interior.

Well, I'm going to need a passenger door. It was rotted to hell and back.

Here's the trunk.. or, where the trunk should be. Can you buy the pan somewhere?

Obligatory Cherry Bomb. I'll be ditching it and going duals of course.

Again, it's good side... Hey, it's sitting on decent rubber at least.

Yeah, look at that pretty paint! LOL
    [IMG]

The heart. I can't remember what motor I dropped in it. Ideas?

    Mean anything to ya?

Seat before: (no, I forgot to take an 'after' pic.)

That's it, just let it sooooooak in...

Blue paint on the door? What tha what? Seats were sprayed 'clean'.

    Lookie all that stuff:

Here's a pic of it back when I owned it.

So, that's it. I didn't take pics of the floor but the footwell of both front seats are completely gone too. I mean, completely. This aint gonna be easy, lol!

Cool car! It'll look better once it's cleaned up.
Nailhead looks like a 1966.... That was the only year they were painted red...the 401 in the Skylark GS, and all 425's. 425's had the Q-jet, but I see you have a spacer on there. 603 heads were used in '66, and was the cast-in 'hook' on the water crossover. '66 block has a hook in the bellhousing area.

Are you putting the car back to stock, or are you gonna go custom?

Spacer? Hmm... I'll have to get a better look at it. I haven't really messed with a carburetor car since... since.. .well probably since I sold this one. I didnt think to look if it was sitting on a spacer, but I'll take some more snapshots tomorrow.

    Motor from a 66, eh? You think it's still a 401?

Well, to go back to 'stock' means I'll have to spend a mint, which I aint got. It'll probably be more of a ratrod while it's being brought back to life. I'm going to have to do what I have to do to get it on the road, no room for purists with this build, lol

Yeah, I'll avoid the huge friggin wheels on this one. I'm curious to see how it'll wind up though. Kind of a new adventure here, lol

Wow that is a serious project. It will be a neat project. Take your time and do it the way you want it. It looked great before by the way.
