So is it a big secret who's already registered? Do we find out when we get to the gate? It's been asked many times over the last few months. At my age, I think I've done something, but maybe haven't! Sure would be nice to know. Can't be that big a deal. If already posted somewhere, great job of hiding it.

Hi Roberta, Yes there are still hotel rooms available. Terry reserved something like 90 rooms, so you should have no problem getting one.

As of a couple weeks ago, the Holiday Inn had no rooms left for the FAST group, the Clarion did. These hotels are $30 a night less than the Comfort Inn we usually use in Plainwell (next to the sewerage plant).
Frank, Which one is next to the sewer plant ? Main hotel or not .... I ain't stayin' there fer sure. Are you sayin' the Clarion and Holiday are by the sewage soup bowl ?

Neither. Both the Clarion and Holiday Inn Express are in Kalamazoo-zoo-zoo. The sewerage treatment plant shares the parking lot with the Comfort Inn and BigBoy restaurant further up in Plainwell-that was the host hotel for the first two years of FAST at US131. I remember the first year getting out of the truck in the Plainwell Comfort Inn ( it was alread dark out so we couldn't exactly see what was across the parking lot ) and my buddy Dave and I commented on the ~smell~. We both thought "Yeah, we're out here in farm country! Smell that fresh manure!". Walking to the restaurant the next morning it became clear that the manure we were smelling wasn't from any cow!! P-U !
Holiday Inn Rooms Available I just called this morning and there were still a few left. Said they had a big soccer tournament going on that weekend... :TU:
Just made my reservations at the Holiday Inn. No more rooms in the Year One "block", but still a couple available. Probably won't last the day though if you haven't gotten yours.
