Prerequisites glass install?

Are there items that need to be installed before installing front and rear glass?
For example, is it possible to install windlace after glass install? If yes, do I then run into trouble with the headliner? I do know I took those out after glass removal. Am I missing other things?

Winlace gets installed after glass is installed. Is there a headliner in the car?

Ok good. Because I want to do the glass first. Would be a shame if it had to go out again. Wouldn't be the first time I've to take something out again :D

I would do the headliner before the glass goes in. Its way easier that way.

It's "easier" to install headliner without front and rear glass, but not required.

I have no headliner yet. The stuff I took out had perished.
I skip the interior first. I have the old seats in and want it driveable. It can do without headliner, but without glass it's difficult.
I'm almost 8 years into restoration, I want to drive it first ;)

Same as me, almost 7 years before I drove it again...Test drove down the street in neighborhood a couple months with no front or rear glass while sitting on a block of wood. Then finally got windshield in and driver seat and drove around town without backglass (on back order) for a few months.

But I'm glad installed my headliner before glass. Pulling, stretching's, gluing was so much easier. Not to mention the access and not banging your head. note: this was the first time ever installing headliner, so don't know how it would be if glass was installed but I do know how many times I hit my head just putting the windlace on after I put the glass in. The back was the worst.

Paint your dashboard before you put the windshield in... it is a lot easier.
