I just pressed in my lower ball joint for my 68 skylark it was a raybestos prof grade
i had it in the freezer for a couple of hours but i pretty much pushed it almost all the way in and only had to use the press to finish off the last 1/8 to 1/4 inch and it went in very easy
they came out easy but it's seated good just unsure if it should have gone in with such little resistance
also does the rubber boot go on before or after you press in the ball joint?
    thanks

After repeated ball joint changes, the opening can get enlarged. Keep an eye on it. I think you can add a few tack welds if worse come to worse and it starts to come out. I would put the boot on after.
