That rear is 10 grand plus if you can find someone to sell you one

Had it the original block that would be pricey>
Did he get a decimal in the wrong place?

What's with the red inner fenders?
I know that was a treatment on '53-'54 Skylarks... is it correct for this Olds??

The red plastic inner fenders are correct.

That car has a lot going for it. Good color combination, convertible, unrestored in obviously very good condition, rare options and documentation. None the less, I don't think the market will bear such a price. I am sure one of the major auction houses would love to sell the car for him, and I am also sure bidding would fall far short of his eBay buy-it-now price.

I can't believe he didn't mention the Buick Aluminum timing chain cover?:spank::spank::bla:

"The most desirable GM cars had a special piece or pieces of aluminum mounted from the factory. Examples would be:

ZL1 camaro with its aluminum block (add $500k plus)

    L89 aluminum heads (add $$$$$)

Cars with these factory options, stand in a field of their own, way above their cast iron brothers.

The W27 full Aluminum Diff is one of these strange and expensive options."

I looked at a project car just like that one except for the rear end. They wanted 100k. Needed a lot of work but a real rare4 speed W-30 convertible. Might still be around and for sale.

4 speed...with out a doubt the most desirable convertible..

    w27 rears....15 grand plus....jason was being nice...prob closer to $20 grand now

black..rare....black muscle cars are rare and desirable

the person wanting this car is going to be a collector or a speculator...w30 4 speed convertible...as good as it gets in the Oldsmobile world..throw in black and wow.....he's gonna have a hemi car or two..maybe a COPO..a stage one and a Shelby...or two..hes trying to get a collection of pinnacle of cars and prob has an LS6 car too...and people that play with this level of cars have money to burn...

how to prove 'original paint' ?

am not saying it isn't, but lots of funky stuff goes down with these "find of the century" big dollar cars.

I would also argue that with such incredibly rare and high end collector cars, color combo doesn't affect value. if as he says, only ten documented cars exist...is the black one worth more than the light blue one all else being equal (condition, options, originality ) ?

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

"This is an original unrestored car"

Without the original motor that statement is void.
