I agree with you on this issue. the guy has a great reputation as a "race" carb builder, if he doesnt know how to build a carb for street manners then he should have told you that from the get go and sent you elsewhere. as soon as the term street was mentioned the conversation should have changed direction. and no matter how wrong or right one of my customers is and no matter how frustrated or angry i get i NEVER yell at a customer or get pissy with them, thats unprofessional. by the way i had a high flow needle and seat(gross jet) in my quadrajet with an electric fuel pump that didnt bleed the pressure down and i NEVER had a problem with it.. a needle and seat should not leak in my opinion as long as fuel pressure is in the acceptable range. Nobody is perfect.I know guys that have had problems with 1800.00 Davinci carbs 1200.00 nuyten carbs etc etc.
With out having your car there to test the carb on there is no real way of knowing if its perfect when it leaves the door.If it's works perfect you got lucky.I don't think I have received anything I didn't have to dick with to make it perfect.

You should have known better. You have no idea what your talking about. Your application no way called for a 950cfm carb. Do you have ported heads, roller cam,10.5 compression or higher. My engine has 325cfm kauffman heads,10.7 compression, roller cam 600 flywheel h.p. 543 to the wheels,I use a prosystems 950 car runs 10.8 127mph not 13s. Patrick is sharpest man I ever spoke with regarding carbs. You should have been using no more then a 750 carb and that might have been to much. I am sure you he didn't recommend this 950 to you.
